Welcome to
the current middle ages.
We are the
Barony of
Blackstone
Mountain, a group located (mundanely) in South and Central West Virginia. For a
Regional Map click here. We are a part of
the Kingdom of Ęthelmearc,
which includes the entire State of West Virginia, western Pennsylvania, and
western New York. Ęthelmearc is one kingdom out of seventeen within the
Society for Creative Anachronism
(S.C.A).
The S.C.A is dedicated to researching and recreating the Middle Ages in the
present. Our definition of the middle ages includes all societies prior to the
1600s; this is purposefully a very broad definition. In the S.C.A you can do
almost anything, activities range from heavy weapons fighting, to belly dancing.
