Blackstone Raid XVII

 April 24th to April 27th 2008

Oyez! Oyez! Oyez!  The rumors of Midrealm aggression are true!   For the 17th year, the Midrealm army intends to invade the southern lands of glorious Aethelmearc.  Their soldiers intend to take your coal and test your steel.  We are putting out the call to our fellow countrymen to come defend the land.

We beg the attendance of all heavy weapons fighters and fencers to repel the foreign hordes. Weapons masters can display their prowess at the torchlight bear pit weapons proficiency tourney held Thursday through Saturday at 10pm. The Midrealm armies will march upon our soil Saturday at noon.  Fencers will experience the chance to fight on an actual covered bridge as well as a roving tournament.  Thrown weapons and archery shoots will take place on our scenic archery range.

Don’t miss the Atl-atl Cattle Battle!

Lady Girlie (Reah Brec) will again be offering her renowned children’s activities on Saturday afternoon.  Come see what she has up her sleeve this year.

The site offers ample room for A&S activities.  Please contact Baroness Rowan le Beau (Jeanne Cress) at 304-722-2200 or rowansca@aol.com if you are interested in teaching a class.  This is a good place to try out that class you might want to teach at war.

An A&S display and artisan forum will be offered on Saturday as well
